Well, it’s been many months since I first announced my resignation, but now that I’m finished editing and producing Ask Westeros, the time has come! Today is my last day working with Not Literally. I got the emotional stuff out of the way in my resignation video, so I’m mostly just posting this blog to tie up some loose ends for any Not Literally fans who aren’t quite clear on what my leaving means.
Videos in progress As I said in my resignation video in late March, all the video projects I worked on will still be coming out! However, since those videos are all in editing now, they are out of my hands. I no longer have any part to play in their release — my roles, like writing, pre-production, singing, and acting, are already complete.
So, to make this super clear: The Ravenclaw video is still coming out. But that’s in Erik’s hands now! I don’t have any information on it. The other two videos I worked on that are as yet unreleased will also still be coming out.
Appearances I’ll still be seeing you guys at LeakyCon in just over a month, but not as part of Not Literally! You’ll be learning more about my exciting new projects over the coming months. Can’t wait to see you there!
Ask Hogwarts, etc. A lot of people have asked me about the future of certain projects I was involved in with Not Literally, namely Ask Hogwarts. I don’t have any information on that, either. If NL decides to continue Ask Hogwarts, I imagine they’ll recast Stephanie and Ari. Sorry, guys! I don’t know any more than you do.
Future work What am I going to be working on now? I’m excited to say that in just a few weeks’ time, you’ll get to see some of where I’m heading! Meanwhile, make sure to follow my Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and website to make sure you’re keeping up.
I know the drawn-out process of my leaving was a little confusing, but I wanted to make sure I did all the things I needed to do so I didn’t throw any wrenches in the gears. Now that everything I can do is wrapped up, it’s time to say the final goodbye to Not Literally!
But don’t fear — I have no plans to stop doing geeky, creative stuff on the internet. See you around!
