I'm a cosplayer, singer, YouTuber, and just all-around overexcitable nerd. In a nutshell, I make and wear costumes, and sometimes sing in them as well. Nice to meet you!
I co-founded geekiarchy, a YouTube project designed to bring talented geeks together to help each other create. (And yes, I'm also that girl from Not Literally, but that was a long time ago.)
Check out my FAQ below, or contact me if you have something to say or ask!
Yes! Any exceptions are noted in photo credits, but I make 99.9% of all my cosplay myself.
Sorry, no! I'm spending all my free sewing time working on my own costumes at this point!
This is such a hard question, and my answers change all the time! Right now it might be my winter Belle, or my Codex, or my Jareth the Goblin Queen.
Sarah's ballgown from Labyrinth! I've always loved that dress but it is going to be a heck of a lot of work and fabric!
My mom sews, so I started learning to hand sew when I was very young, and started to learn the sewing machine in elementary school. It wasn't until high school that I really started sewing regularly, though.
Codex! Which, now that I think back on it, was a really complex costume to choose for my first one. I'm kind of still shocked it came out so well.
This varies so much by costume that it's basically impossible to answer. Some more complex costumes, like Arya Stark or Royal Milk Tea, took 100+ hours, and some simpler costumes, like Ariel's blue dress or Briar Rose, were done in a matter of hours. And of course, sometimes I'm working 6-8 hours on a costume every night for two weeks, and sometimes I'll go a month and barely touch my current project. It all depends on a lot of factors!
